Confessions, Part 2

I started this series, oh, 5 months ago? And I haven't come back to it. Until today. Get ready for some confessions...

1. I am terrible at remembering to bring in my reusable shopping bags when grocery shopping. I probably remember it once in every 5 trips.

2. I have never had my own car. This doesn't bother me as much as it did when I was in high school.

3. I still don't like running. But I'm trying real hard to!

4. I hate Chinese food.

5. I'm a grammar Nazi, but have never understood prepositions. And I don't think I ever will.

6. I have never seen any of the Harry Potter movies, and have only read the first two books.

7. Every time I see a long stretch of grass, I feel this insane urge to do a round-off, back handspring, with a twist. I don't know why. I've never been in gymnastics and can barely do a round-off.

8. My mom and I might have a minor obsession with Ziploc containers. Best invention of this decade? I think so!

9. For about 2 months, I ate a whole-wheat English muffin with just a smidge of peanut butter for breakfast. And now the thought of English muffins makes me want to throw up.

10. I also can't stand the thought of Cup O' Noodle soup. I ate one every day after school in middle school and haven't been able to handle even the smell of them since.

11. Honestly, I think my dog thinks he's my boyfriend. And he's a clingy one, at that.

12. I'm not a shoe person. Usually, I buy one pair of $15 Target flip-flops and wear them until they get worn down, and then buy a new pair.

13. I am completely obsessed with Days Of Our Lives. I think it's pretty amazing how long they can stretch out one teeny plotline.

14. I was 19 the first time I ever dyed my hair.

15. I have never been to a different time zone, other than Eastern. I need to travel more.

  1. I definitely agree with what you said on 15--you need to travel more (when you're able)! It's the best.

  2. I'm so bad at remembering those reusable bags too! My mom keeps it in the front seat of her car which I think is a good idea. I've never dyed my hair..
I think running will grow on you as you do it more!

  3. You hate Chinese Food? GASP! Lol

I didn't dye my hair for the first time until I was 17! Much to my mothers horror :)

  4. Love these!! I was BEGGING to dye my hair at 12, but my mum wouldn't let me until I was 15 - and then I didn't know anything about permanent or temporary and I brought the blondest shade of semi-permanent dye I could find, only to have it do absolutely nothing! :)

I'm finally finishing the Harry Potter series as we speak - we're both late to the party :)

  5. I love your confessions! I'll have to try this sometime. I didn't buy my first car until I was 22... and it didn't really bother me in the least, even in high school!

I love my reusable shopping bags; I tend to use them all the time when I grocery shop. And Ziploc containers are a lifesaver. I use them when I make Leo's lunches because I don't want him losing or ruining my good containers, lol!

  6. Fun! I love posts like these because you learn such random things about people!

I have read all of the HP books but have not seen a single movie... I am worried that the movies won't live up to the books...

I have never dyed my own hair... I've only had it dyed by a hair professional. I am paranoid that I will do somethign wrong and my hair will turn yellow or fall out or something!! :P

  7. Amen to 13!

  8. I am SO GLAD I am not the only one that hates Chinese food! Dustin always says I'm weird because I don't!

And you need to get on the Harry Potter bandwagon. Or we can't be friends. Just sayin'.

Oh and Days of Our Lives? Best soap EVER! My mom used to tape it so we'd watch it together in the evening. I haven't watched in a few years and I kind of miss it!

  9. I was in Grade 7 when I first died my hair. It was a "12-washes and it's out" dye, but I was pretty excited!

And I never remember my cloth shopping bags. There's always waiting for me in the trunk of my car after I shop and have an arm-load of plastic bags. Shame on me!

  10. I am OBSESSED with General Hospital... I know how you feel about plotlines extending forever.

  11. In regards to 9 & 10, I hate when you eat something so often that you get completely sick of it. It always bums me out.

I've never been in another time zone, either. My parents never planned big vacations to anywhere other than Disney, so I've only stayed on the east coast. The farthest west I've ever been was Ohio for a conference in college.

  12. Totally agree with #3-you're not alone. I think my dog thinks I'm her boyfriend too-too bad she's a girl!!!

  13. I've read the first HP book and watched The Half-Blood Prince all the way through. Proud? Yes. Haha. I'm actually considering trying to read the series again. I couldn't get into it middle school, but the movie had me enchanted. Plus, my tastes in books have changed radically, so I may love them now. Who knows?

  14. As a girl who works in the kids' section of a bookstore (AKA the harry potter section) I really insist you read that series! I'm about to read it a second time to remind myself of its awesomeness.

I also don't understand prepositions. What ARE they...?!

I like this series, by the way! Confessions are always fun to read, haha:)

  15. I love these! : ) My first dog thought he was my boyfriend too....

  16. Wow... If I were you... (that is to say, I never dyed my hair, owned a car, or spent my rent money on shoes) I might actually have my own apartment. haha.

  18. Oh my god, I want to comment on every single one of these confessions because they're awesome, but the awesomest is your love for Days of our Lives. I've been watching that show since I was about 8 years old. I only watch about one episode per year these days, and I STILL know what's going on in most of the plot lines. Complete and utter ridiculousness. Love it!

Comments make me all giddy with excitement.
