Vlog Fridays (3)

Today, I’m answering Linda’s question which refers to my decision to stay a virgin until I’m married. I made a boo-boo when I said I don’t know any blog friends who are choosing (or have chosen) to live this way, because I do! I’m not sure why I said that, but it was a flub. ;)

As always, leave me questions in the comments!

  1. What a great question and I really love your answer. It's rare these days to find someone who has made the decision you have but I really respect you for having made it.

  3. Thank you for answering my question! Also lovely answers. I think it's totally impressive, your approach to love. I have 100 percent faith your man will find you. I can't wait for that to happen and hopefully read about it.

  5. You're cute. I hate vlogging because I think I'm weird. You're not weird at all. In a good way.

My best friend waited until marriage. They didn't live together, even though they purchased a condo. She lived there & he lived with friends until the wedding happened. They kissed & held hands before they got married, but that was all. It's not how I've chosen to live my life, but I certainly respected her decision & can respect yours, too, as long as neither of you are judging *me*! (I move in with the boyfriend tomorrow...) In fact, her bachelorette party was a lot of fun because all of her married friends & I got to give her fun tips on sex & kissing & all kinds of things. And she was SO EXCITED, which made all of us excited for her.

I know someone will come along who's right for you. Can't wait to see what life has in store for you. <3

  6. When I was younger, I truly believed I was going to save myself for marriage, particularly because that was something that was sort of drilled into my head thanks to growing up in catholic school!! In the end, I decided it wasn't the path I was going to choose, but I totally respect people that do this. I don't regret that I didn't wait, but I do think sharing that with your future husband is a pretty amazing thing!

    Have a great weekend!

  7. great vlog! :) i think i take the same stance of not judging someone else's lifestyle choices as long as they don't judge mine. what works for some does not work for others.

  10. I waited 'til I was married (uh, before I got divorced) and it was a good decision for me. I think sex is super personal, as are the decisions surrounding it...you should do what works for you! Great vlog. I love hearing bloggers!

  11. I think it's awesome that a) you do the vlogs! and b) that you made a decision that is right for you and stand by it. I also like that you're very tolerant with people who live their lives differently. I think that's what is all about... everybody gets to choose how they want to live their lives! :)

  12. No sound here at work (not that this is work appropriate anyways) but just wanted to weigh in. I waited. So did my husband. While it was difficult while we dated, I don't regret my decision in the least. In fact, it's one of my greatest accomplishments! :)

We didn't wait because of any fear that we wouldn't work out or any personal goal or anything... we waited because we believe that God made sex as a gift for married couples.

As a result of this decision, your wedding night will be more special than anything you can ever imagine.

  13. Both my husband and I were virgins when we got married. It wasn't necessarily for religious reasons; it was just something we decided on our own before meeting, and then it was a decision we kept when we started dating. We actually lived together for a year before we got married (and slept in the same bed).

  14. I waited! And it was the greatest decision EVER. Awkward newlywed sex is the best. :-P Hold out, girl. It will be so worth it.

  15. Good for you! I only know one person that waited, my mother in-law. Sometimes the "right decision isn't the most popular." I loved your comment about not judging others, because you don't want them to judge you. If only more people had that mindset. Stay strong.
