30DC: Week Six

30-Day-Challenge-6

1. I’m 90% certain I will be growing my hair out again for Locks of Love. I miss long hair and feel that sometimes, it’s easier to handle than short hair. This makes no sense, I know. But I’m excited!

2. I am a dog person through and through. I couldn’t imagine my life without a dog in it.

3. I watch America’s Got Talent every year, but I don’t really like the show. They put so many people through “just because”, when they’re not very talented! I feel like Piers knows it’s a sinking ship and he’s the only voice of reason on the panel.

4. I’m addicted to soda.

5. I’m terrible at keeping up with my Words With Friends games.

6. Sometimes, I think about going back to my dark brown hair because it was so much cheaper! But I also love having blonde hair so I’m very undecided on this issue.

7. Sleep is one of my most favorite things in the world.

8. But I think my relationship with my mom is my most favorite. While I bombed in the dad department, I got extremely blessed with my mom who knows how to be the perfect parent and perfect friend.

9. I recently joined an online dating site. I’m not sure how well it will work out but dang it, I want to go on a date every once in a while!

10. As excited as I am to get a new phone in August, I really do love my Blackberry.

11. I only like to watch movies with happy endings.

12. Even though this makes me sound like I’m fifteen years old, I really want a boyfriend.

13. I graduated from college almost seven weeks ago, but will not feel at peace until I have my diploma in my hands. (Sidenote: WHERE IS IT?!)

14. There are so many bloggers I want to get to know better and bridge the gap of commenting on blogs to e-mailing/chatting with, but it’s scary to take that leap.

15. I work at a preschool. I don’t have any specific job title, but I help out anywhere is needed. Mainly, though? I make breakfast for the center and give bathroom breaks.

16. Making phone calls is my least favorite thing in the world.

17. After going to the dentist.

18. Which is after going for a run.

19. I always thought I would want to be a June bride, but if I’m still living in Florida at that point, there is no way this will happen. The humidity is killer.

20. I’m really lazy about keeping my apartment clean, while my mom is a Clean Freak Nazi. Which makes me feel bad since she works 40 hours a week, I work 25. So I try to clean up to her standard, but it’s hard.

21. I think a food scale is an absolute must for anyone trying to lead a healthier lifestyle.

22. Sometimes, I “forget” to take meat out of the freezer just so I don’t have to cook that night.

23. Chick-Fil-A breakfast > McDonald’s breakfast.

24. Spinning is my new favorite way to exercise. So long, running! Hello, spin bike.

25. Although, I am still running. But on a treadmill. And for just minutes at a time. I’m trying to build up my running endurance but adding 1 minute to my time at every run. So far, I’m at 6 minutes and doing good.

26. Rainy days are the best days.

27. Unless I do it, I’m really bad at putting away my laundry.

28. I’m at a point in my life where I don’t think I ever want to have kids. Which is weird, because I have always wanted to have children.

29. I never imagined job hunting would fill me with as much disappointed as it has. I knew it would be hard, but didn’t imagine the toll it would take on my mind.

30. I can’t believe I wrote 30 “interesting” facts about myself. That’s impressive.

Tell me one interesting fact about YOU!

  1. That's funny you mention the kid thing, because I can kind of relate (but not quite to that extreme). Growing up, I always knew I wanted kids/to be a mother. But over the past year or so, I have come to understand more why someone would not want kids and I decided I want to have them later in life than I originally thought. I don't know what changed, maybe it's the stage we're at in life and that will change as we get a little older?

  2. It doesn't make you sound 15 to want a boyfriend. I have many friends of all ages who want a significant other.

  3. I don't know what new phone you're getting in August, but I used to be a Blackberry addict and now I can't imagine why I ever thought it was better than iPhone. The internet capabilities alone (and the apps, oh the apps!) make it entirely worth it. The touch screen keyboard is the only thing I don't like as much though.

Don't give up with your job hunting! It's going to be tough, but when you find the right job you'll be SO happy and it'll have been totally worth it. :)

  4. There is nothing wrong with saying you'd like to have a boyfriend, nor does that make you sound like you're fifteen! Promise.

#28- I'm right there with you. I mean, I know I "have" kids through Knight, but I'm 99.9% sure I don't want anymore. Two is plenty.

    Loved reading these! So fun!

  5. What changed to make you not want to have kids? I think that is interesting because I do not think I want to have kids but get so much crap for it.

Good job on the running!!! :)

  6. Hahahaha. I'm still laughing at #15,16 and 17. It's great how you arranged those. I get so nervous calling strangers on the phone, soooo I'm always having to overcome that, being a journalist.

This was so fun to read!

  7. Can I be a teenager with you and also want a boyfriend?  I'm not one of those women who are desperate for a man, but I'm 22 and I'm starting to get afraid it's NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN.

About me? As much as I crave human interaction, I'm SUCH an introvert.  I'm most content spending the night in watching a good TV show or reading a book.

You can bridge the gap and be blog friends with me. I'm not scary, I promise.

  9. Just stumbled across your blog, so cute! And I definitely know what you mean about wanting to know bloggers but being afraid. Sometimes I think I'm not good enough to talk to people that have been blogging for awhile since I'm so new at it.

  10. For me, I don't think I ever realized how much work involved taking care of a child! They say working at a preschool is the best form of birth control and it is *so* true. But I'm also sure once I find the man I want to be the father of my children, my views will change. For now (and the next 5+ years...), I'm staying happily child-free.

  11. OK, I'm glad! I was really worried about that fact I wrote because it sounds so juvenile, ha! But it's true. :)

  12. I'm probably going to get the EVO, which is with Sprint, my cell phone provider. I'm just not a big fan of the phone plans for the providers that have iPhones. Sprint's plan is the cheapest and gives the most bang for my buck. :) But I'm sure I'll be like, "I was LIVING IN THE DARK FOR SO LONG" when I do change. Ha!

  13. I hate talking on the phone, too. And I'm the same way with making blog friends! I get so intimidated by everyone that I just avoid them... it's not good, haha.

  14. I always thought I would want a big family, but I'm starting to think I really don't want that. Mayyybe two kids at most. I know I will eventually want kids, but a good long while before I even THINK about it. Oh, and having a partner might help. ;)

  15. Working in a preschool! Ha! It's the best form of birth control, seriously. And also seeing how much work just one child is. Whew! I don't know how some people do it.

  16. Ah, and that is why I am so glad I am done with school. No more interviews! ;) Good luck on overcoming your phone fears.

  17. Good luck w/ the online dating site - can't wait to hear how it goes for you!  My friends keep pushing me to do this, but I am just not ready yet!  Maybe this fall...

One interesting fact...  I really like pickle juice.  So much so that i take a swig of it whenever I eat a pickle.  Gross, I know, but I guess I need the sodium. ; )

  18. Job hunting is so, so, so awful. I feel for you! But keep at it - something good is coming your way. <3 And I've never had Chik-Fil-A breakfast... THERE ARE SO CHIK-FIL-AS IN NEW HAMPSHIRE.

  19. Um, yes. That's exactly why I want one. It's just like... will I forever be alone? I like my singleness and don't mind being alone, but there comes a point in time when I'm like WILL IT EVER HAPPEN FOR ME?! Sigh.

  20. Woo! :) It's kinda like dating & putting yourself out there. Like...hey! I think you're pretty awesome and let's be more than blog friends. Do you think I'm also awesome?

    Kinnnnda scary. ;)

  22. Me, too. Me, too. Me, too. I really need to stop being so afraid and just get over myself. Ha. :)

  23. You know, pickle juice *is* kinda good. I'm not sure if I could swig it, but it is nice and sour, hehe.

  24. I had my first Chick-Fil-A breakfast in January. You must get some soon because it is the best thing ever. Srsly.
